UIU signed MoU with University of Portsmouth, U.K.

United International University and University of Portsmouth signed an MoU.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed virtually between United International University (UIU), Bangladesh and University of Portsmouth, U.K. on Tuesday, 27th July 2021 to celebrate their partnership. This MoU will not only help the students for global education but will also give an opportunity to both the institutions to work as a partner on global issues. They have agreed to foster academic and research collaborations between the two institutions by promoting exchange of graduate and undergraduate students and faculty and exchange of information. There are immense potentials of future collaborative research with respective departments of these two universities.

The City of Portsmouth has strong links to Bangladesh and the University of Portsmouth is very happy to deepen these ties with the esteemed partner of UIU. There are ambitious plans going forward and both institutions hope to create opportunities for students and staff alike to collaborate not only in Dhaka and Portsmouth but also globally. During the MoU signing ceremony, from University of Portsmouth Mr. Chris Chang: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement and Student Life), Ms. Wendy Wang: Head of Global Engagement (Partnerships, Insights and Student Experience) and Mr. Joe Hall: Global Engagement Officer were present. From UIU, Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia: Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Khawza I. Ahmed: Director, Center for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC-UIU), Ms. Jennifer Hossain: Assistant Director, CIAC-UIU, Mr. Md. Faruque Miah: Senior Executive, CIAC-UIU, and Mr. S.M. Aufi Islam: President of Student’s International Affairs Society-UIU were present.
